Information for Family and Friends

In order to ensure that clients are able to do the work required for ongoing recovery while in treatment, an environment of safety and respect must be established. Your family member, or friend in treatment, will have a number of restrictions on outside contact during their stay. Your co-operation and understanding will greatly assist them in having a successful treatment experience.

Visiting Hours

Clients are permitted visits beginning on their second weekend in treatment. Visiting hours are Sunday and holidays from 9:00 - 4:45.

Telephone calls/messages

There is a voice messaging system to leave messages for clients in treatment. You family member or friend will provide you with the number after they have arrived. Clients do not have access to email. Clients are only permitted to use the phone outside of programming time.

Confidentiality

We cannot release any information to family members or friends, including whether or not a client is even in treatment, without written consent. This includes family members or friends that pay treatment fees. Please discuss confidentiality with your family member or friend before their arrival, and whether or not you will be on their list of people that they consent to have information released to, and what type of information they are comfortable having released.
